This is more of a rant than anything else...it seems that every time I go into a camera store the sales people want to have a massive disagreement with my lens/camera/tripod choices, oh and any other thing that they think of. Snobs in a big way.
Today's was perfect, because I am in a suit they assume that I have no idea about photography. I asked to see a 50mm f/2.8 macro lens (which they did not have), was told that they could order it for me but the 100mm was much better...."more expensive but better" when I told them this is not what I was after I got a great lecture about portrait photography and that if I looked online I would see that this is the lens that most "Professional" photographers use...pigs eye, you can manipulate a lens to suit you...check out Lauren for example (she is awesome)
So, with that said, I will not be stepping into anymore camera stores in Sydney anymore because the majority of them (Foto Riesel on Kent St excluded) SUCK!
